Gina-B Silkwork

Georgian silk embroidered buttons

roll your mouse over the thumbnails to see an enlarged image.

These buttons were embroidered on silk, using hand dyed silk threads and gold and silver spangles. They are based on Georgian frock coat buttons.

By sewing a second, smaller button to the back, and adding an additional buttonhole on the garment, the buttons can be easily removed either to wash the garmet, or simply for a new look.
