Linen shirt collar ties with netted tasselsroll your mouse over the thumbnails to see an enlarged image. Tudor and Elizabethan portraits often show ties at the neck, decorated with tassels or beads. Each tie is made of a fingerloop braid, the plain end hemmed to strengthen. The other end has an attached linen tassel, which has been topped with a needlelace 'net', the style of which is based on the 17c Dorset high top buttons. |
