Late Medieval Diptych

Items can be commissioned - please contact Gina should you wish to discuss your requirements.

The following images are of a personal diptych in the late medieval style - a collaboration between myself and Mark Barrett

This personal diptych was painted by Mark Barrett, using the medieval glaze technique. Each panel is gessoed oak, and the paints use only the colours available at the time. St. Andrew is after Memlin, while Mary is after Van der Goes.

The back is also painted, as it will be seen when in use. The braids holding the two halves are silk and gold, whilst the embroidered bag to protect the diptych has been worked using silk and gold threads. You can see more of the bag by clicking here.
