15c 'Limerick' girdle

This silk tablet woven ribbon is a possible reconstruction of a fifteenth century silk girdle, which unfortunately was recorded as missing in 1996. (Reference to the original in Ilse Fingerlin, Gurtel des hohen und spaten Mittelalters, 1971)
