Medieval pompom and star knops

The purse knops form the decoration of a reconstruction of a medieval purse, more details of which can be found here.
Attached to each side panel and the bottom of the purse is a flat pom-pom of blue silk with an embroidered rose. The rose is worked in split stich and couching on a linen ground, using silks and real gold thread.
The drawstrings - for both the outer purse and the two inner purses are finished with a blue silk pompom. Each of these has a covered wooden button, decorated with silk and gold thread to form a star.
