Silk tie backs

A silk tassel, made using traditional techniques. The head is made by covering a wooden mold with silk, in alternating colours. The skirt is made on wire; the loops have been left uncut to allow the mini tassels and pompoms to be added to the bottom edge. The mini tassels are silk (hand dyed with woad), whilst the pompoms are made of worsted wool.
